Morecambe BID is pleased to announce that it has launched a brand-new logo designed to reflect Morecambe Bay’s unique offer. The new BID branding has been designed to align with the Morecambe destination branding, helping strengthen brand ‘Morecambe’ to a wider visitor audience.
John O’Neill, Morecambe BID Manager, said “I believe we live in a unique part of the UK that flies under the radar when it comes to being appreciated. Our local district offers something that I believe nowhere else in the UK can – that of a really close proximity to City, Coast and Countryside – to steal an old slogan and we should be shouting out about the quality of lifestyle we enjoy.
“Bill Bryson, the famous travel writer, said this of Morecambe Bay in his latest book ‘The road to Little Dribbling’: ‘”Morecambe Bay may be the most beautiful bay in Britain”’. We wholeheartedly agree with him and are using that quote pride-of-place in the upcoming Morecambe Visitor leaflet.
“In the next month, we will be launching the new visitor leaflet which will be distributed not only to businesses locally but also across the North. The leaflet will include businesses in the BID zone, a map and a full list of festivals and events for the year. Soon after that, we will be launching the new Morecambe BID website that will have a full business directory, festivals and events and many other features.”
In addition, Morecambe BID recently joined Bay Tourism and will be helping to actively promote Morecambe and surrounds.
Local design company, The Design Attic, is designing and producing the Visitor Leaflet and they helped design the new logo.
