Morecambe Business Improvement District (BID) and Lancaster and Morecambe College (LMC) are collaborating with Dave Guest (ex-BBC North West reporter) to produce a series of videos – Jobs and Business Matters – aimed at different industry sectors in the local area. The videos highlight issues around employability and what benefits working in these industries offer.
On this page you’ll see a series of videos put together by Morecambe BID and Lancaster & Morecambe College highlighting issues facing our local businesses. We also seek to dispel a few myths.
The industries we will be highlighting are Hospitality & Food and Beverage, Entertainment and Arts, Health and Social Care, Transport, Professional Services and Trades. With the forthcoming Eden Project Morecambe and all the extra investment it will bring, Morecambe and the local area needs as many skilled and non-skilled jobs it can get. Lancaster and Morecambe College is already working with Eden and EDF Energy to provide skilled employees for the future. Lancaster University is one of the top educational institutions in the country and provides many professional and STEM graduates.
