For years Morecambe has been a magnet for visitors and the current range of festivals and events on offer will ensure it will be for many years to come. From the world-renowned Vintage Festival, to our home-grown Carnival, and the ‘Catch The Wind’ Kite Festival, Morecambe has an offer for all.
Additionally, in 2018 we have two writing festivals, including special guest KW Jeter (father of the Steampunk genre), and a host of great music including the two-day Music Festival. With Morecambe now being the home of the International Theatre Institute, based out of the Alhambra, another classic Victorian theatre, there is great scope for the area increasing its artistic presence. In 2017 the Alhambra hosted the first Morecambe Fringe festival, which has significantly expanded its offer in 2018.
